PrepLockin (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the PrepLockin mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple or create an email account, we receive your email address and a unique user identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature, we only receive an anonymous relay address.

Study Data

We store your vocabulary progress, quiz results, streaks, and game scores. This data is synced to our cloud service (Supabase) so you can access it across devices.

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage events (e.g., quizzes started, words mastered). We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or personal information through analytics. No data is shared with advertisers.

App Blocking

PrepLockin uses Apple’s Screen Time API (FamilyControls) to block selected apps. Your app selections are stored only on your device in a shared App Group container. We never see, transmit, or store which apps you choose to block. Apple’s framework ensures this data never leaves your device.

Crash Reports

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs. These may include device model, OS version, and stack traces. They do not contain personal data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and sync your study progress across devices
• To manage your subscription through RevenueCat
• To improve app stability and fix bugs via crash reports
• To understand feature usage and improve the app via anonymous analytics

3. Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not process or store payment information directly. Your purchase history is managed by Apple and RevenueCat.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We use the following services:

• Supabase — cloud database for study progress sync
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• PostHog — anonymous analytics
• Sentry — crash reporting

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with Row Level Security policies ensuring only you can access your own data. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Export your study data upon request
• Opt out of analytics by disabling it in app settings

7. Children’s Privacy

PrepLockin is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
